A familiar sound. An uneasy feeling.
Let a note fall slowly and return, or make a deliberate descent part of your performance. Haunt works on incoming audio: Return and Sway keep moving, Detune holds a fixed offset, and Fall & Hold keeps new notes lower after the fall. Radio, Hiss and Wear add a separate layer of worn character. Pitch movement uses variable wet delay; live held pitch does not keep stretching the timing of your whole performance.
- 01
Start with a slow phrase
Insert Haunt on an audio track and try Slow Haunt in Return. Leave space between notes, then explore Haunt, Time and Mix.
- 02
Choose the movement
Try Sway for movement above and below the original pitch. Trigger FALL in Slowfall, Tape Stop or Fall & Hold; choose Detune for a constant offset.
- 03
Age the texture
Open Texture and add Radio and Wear independently. Hiss has its own level and Off setting; start quietly around -65 to -55 dBFS. Trim Output and compare with bypass.
