Last updated: 2026. This policy describes how CL Audio (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use our website and purchase software plugins.

Who we are

CL Audio develops and sells audio plugins (VST3) for Windows. Our marketing site does not require an account. Purchases and license delivery are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our payment and fulfillment partner.

Information we collect

  • Website visits: We do not run user accounts on this site. If analytics are enabled (e.g. Plausible), we may receive anonymized page-view statistics — no advertising trackers by default.
  • Purchases: When you buy a license, Lemon Squeezy collects payment details, billing information, and your email address to process the order and deliver your license key. We receive order and customer data needed to support your purchase (typically name and email).
  • Demo plugins: Trial state is stored locally on your computer (not on our servers). See plugin documentation in the plugins repository.

How we use information

We use information to:

  • Fulfill orders and provide license keys
  • Answer support requests
  • Improve our products and website
  • Meet legal and tax obligations where applicable

We do not sell your personal data.

Third parties

Lemon Squeezy processes payments and acts as Merchant of Record. Their privacy policy applies to checkout: lemonsqueezy.com/privacy.

Hosting (when deployed): our site may be hosted on Vercel. Standard server logs may include IP address and browser type for security and performance.

Your rights (EEA / UK)

If you are in the European Economic Area or UK, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. A legal privacy contact will be published before analytics or sales are enabled.

Retention

We keep purchase-related records as long as needed for support, tax, and legal purposes. Messages sent through future official contact channels will be retained only as long as needed to resolve the request.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
