CL Pixel

Turn your recording into a broken cartridge.

A chip-fuzz effect that gives guitar, bass, synths and other audio a handheld-game texture. Shape the digital grit with Pixel, soften the brightness with Tone, and blend it with your original performance. No MIDI or note tracking required.

CL Pixel actual plugin interface

Your performance, in another resolution.

Keep the rhythm and expression of your recording while giving it a crunchy, game-inspired edge. Cartridge adds a compressed digital texture; Pulse makes the waveform more square-like. Pixel changes the character, Tone shapes the brightness, and Mix keeps the original sound within reach.

  1. 01

    Choose a character

Insert CL Pixel on an audio track. Try Cartridge for textured grit or Pulse Lead for a stronger chip-fuzz sound.

  2. 02

    Find the texture

Raise Pixel and adjust Tone. Single-note riffs bring out the Pulse character; chords stay a combined guitar texture.

  3. 03

    Blend and level

Use Mix to balance the effect with the original, then trim Output. Compare with bypass at a comfortable listening level.
